About the event
Join us in celebrating AAPI Heritage Month 2026
Mississippi Masala is a beautiful and trailblazing film that shows the richness of the South Asian and Black American diasporas. The film explores the love story of Mina (Sarita Choudhury) and Demetrius (Denzel Washington) as they navigate cultural intersections and divisions, romance, and young adulthood.
As we watch, snack, & chat, we’ll also create our very own custom rug art to adorn our spaces. Your ticket includes: popcorn, drink, all rug art making materials, and rug art instruction.
House Flicks is a monthly film & craft club where good films, good company, good crafting, and good vibes come together. All are welcome
